Magpie Dance Youth Technique

Magpie Dance’s Youth Technique (MYT) Classes aim to enable young people with learning disabilities to develop technique, explore creative movement and related arts in a supportive, safe and stimulating atmosphere.

The sessions aim to enable participants to explore creative movement and related arts in a supportive, safe and stimulating atmosphere. No previous dance experience necessary.

Sessions are facilitated by Natasha Britton and assisted by Annie Waller.

All Magpie Dance classes are accompanied by a professional musician in the form of drums or keyboards.

Watching Classes

For taster sessions a parent or carer is encouraged to stay for the duration. Thereafter, on a case by case basis it will depend on the settling and needs of the individual. Generally, participants are encouraged and facilitated to participate without a parent or carer present for their sessions.
